=============================
Fannie was originally buried in Day Cemetery, Tarrant County, Texas as was her son Russell and daughter Emily.

In 1949 the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers moved the graves from this cemetery and four other cemeteries during the construction of Benbrook Lake. The new resting place was the Merinda Seminary Graveyard, now known as Benbrook Cemetery. All of the information on this page was abstracted from the Corp of Engineers 1949 report titled "Cemetery Relocation Plan, Benbrook Dam and Reservoir." Relocation was supervised by Mrs. Day (Fannie's eldest daughter, Amanda Havenhill).

Only three graves were found:
Grave #1
HAVENHILL, Fannie
Dec. 10, 1840 - Dec. 20, 1885
Age 45, Female
Mother of Mrs. W.B. Day [Amanda Havenhill]
Relocated to Merinda Seminary Graveyard, Section E, Lot 11, Space A

Grave #2 was Russell, Grave #3 was Emily

We found your cemetery in Texas, at last. You were relocated here in 1949 to make way for Benbrook Dam. Now we will try for a headstone photo for proof.
