Helen Pauline Lisk, 94, entered her heavenly home at 6:35 a.m. on Dec. 10, 2008.

She was the youngest child born to Mae (Smith) and John Calvin Heald. Helen was born on a farm SE of Packwood and lived most of her life in Fairfield.

She was a wife, mother and beautician. She owned and operated Helen's Beauty Shop for several years.Helen married Glenn Lisk on Nov. 28, 1934. They owned and operated Dairy Queen stores in Fairfield and Waverly. They spent many winters in Mission, Texas and traveled with the Airstream ILLIAMO group. Helen was an active member of the First Christian Church and CWF, a Charter member of the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary and a Charter member of the First National Bank Heritage Club. She enjoyed traveling with the Heritage Club and playing cards with friends at Sunnybrook, where she resided for the last six years of her earthly life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; brother, Goldburn; sisters, Gladys Parks and Bernice Zamora.

Survivors include her three children, Glenda Kay Smith (Dale) of Naperville, Ill., Marlene Babcock, Ankeny and Gene Lisk (Melanie), Fairfield; nine grandchildren, Holly Smith Thompson (Scott), Sand Springs, Okla., Rodney Smith (Lana) Jefferson, Mo., Mason Babcock (Susan), Garner, Amy Babcock Fowlkes (John), Mt. View, Calif., Troy Babcock (Melanie) Ankeny, Jenny Babcock, Osceola, Shawn Lisk (Summer), Fairfield, Tiffany Lisk White (Craig), London, England, Shane Lisk (Barb), Fairfield; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Raymond Funeral Home Friday, Dec. 14 from 6-8 p.m.A celebration of Helen's life will be at Fairfield Christian Church on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m.
