Caroline Joan (Haywood) Ennis, 73, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Martinsville. She was a resident of Martinsville.

Carol was born Feb. 21, 1940, in Hancock County to Ralph and Leona (Breese) Haywood. She graduated from Knightstown High School, class of 1959.

Carol married Ronald Ennis in 1974; they were married for 38 years.

She enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping and doing crafts. She loved her family and enjoyed the holidays and cooking for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Ennis of Martinsville; two children, Stephanie Estes of Bargersville and John Ennis of Greenwood; and a granddaughter, Angela Estes of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dean Driffle.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bluff Creek Cemetery in the Greenwood area.
