2 Killed in 4-Vehicle Accident
CALDWELL — Two Canyon County residents were killed Wednesday in a four-vehicle accident on Nampa-Caldwell Boulevard near Homedale road, Idaho State Police said.
Ginger M. Hayes, 17, Caldwell, and Juana H. Medina, 36, Nampa, died in the collision, police dis-patcher Denise Butler said.
Medina's daughter, Carmen, 7, suffered broken ankles and a broken arm. She was in stable condition after surgery at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa Wednesday night, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Hayes' car was heading eastbound in the inside lane when it apparently swerved into the oncoming lane. It and Medina's vehicle collided head on, police said.
The two cars spun into a semi-truck driven by 33-year-old Robert D. Riley of Boise. The three vehicles then were struck by a vehicle driven by Marc A. Tidal-go, 16, Notus.
