Mildred "Jean" was born April 9, 1926 to Daniel Lewis Hayden and Dora Mae Russell Hayden in McCook, NE.

She departed this life on May 1, 2012 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg, NE where she had resided for the past three months.

Jean attended the Nebraska School for the Blind in Nebraska City. As a child, she learned to read and write Braille. She especially enjoyed the music they taught. Jean sang for many special occasions, including weddings, funerals, anniversary parties just to name a few.

She was a member of the Maywood Christian Church and attended the Community Club for many years. One of her favorite pastimes was to go to Perkins Mercantile and visit with everyone that came in.

Jean was an only child but she didn't really know that because she was surrounded by her many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents - George & Myrtle Russell and Charles & Hannah Hayden.

She is survived by two special cousins Dan (LaVonne) Snider and Darryl (Cathy) Snider who grew up in the home like her little brothers. She is also survived by many other cousins and friends.
