LEBANON -- MRS. GERTRUDE H. BROWNING, 47, died here Wednesday. Her husband, Ben, and mother, Mary A. Hayden, survive. Funeral, 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Mary. The body is at the Bosley Funeral Home here.

MRS, MARTHA GERTRUDE BROWNING, 47, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 1977, at Mary Immaculate Hospital. Mrs. Browning, who made her home at Route 2, Lebanon, was a native of Marion County, a daughter of Mary Alma Mattingly Hayden & the late Fred Hayden. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Ben Browning, Sr.; three daughters, Mrs. Cathy Evans of Richmond, Misses Mary Lou & Sarah Browning, both at home; five sons, Hospital Corpsman Joseph Benedict, Jr. of Port Smith, Virginia, Dennis of Richmond, Ray, Frank & Fred, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Smith of Louisville, Mrs. Charlotte Fenwick of Cox's Creek, Mrs. Cynthia Browning of Lebanon; two brothers, Billy Hayden of Jeffersontown & Tommy Hayden of Loretto. The Rev. Henry Knopp conducted the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
