Elaine Haws DeVore, 81, passed away December 25, 2000 in Mesa, Arizona.

She was born August 15, 1919 in Burley, Idaho to Verl Arthur and Lillian Pearl Clark Haws.

She married Don A. DeVore June 28, 1940 in Magna, Utah, where they lived until moving to Mesa thirteen years ago.

Elaine was an assistant purchaser and sales clerk for Auerbach's for 20 years. Also, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was an accomplished seamstress and loved to crochet. Family always came first with her, and she truly enjoyed family dinners.

Survived by her husband; sons, Robert DeVore and Duane (Frances) DeVore; daughter, Charlene (Steve) Smith; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and brother, Eldred (Margene) Haws. Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Donna Hyland and Mary Jean Urry.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Sa., December 30, 2000 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 So., Magna, where friends may call both Friday 6-8 p.m. and Sat. one hour prior to services. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
