Johann George Herber (George Hauver), married Elizabeth Sweeney, 2 July 1811 in Washington County, MD. Her parentage or her burial location has not been established.

He is the son of Johann "George" Hauver and his first wife Catrina (Schneiderin) Snider.

Children:
(1.) George Hauver IV.
(2.) Catharine "Kate" Hauver, married David Wolf Jr., they removed Arkansas.
(3.) Mary Ann Hauver.
(4.) Elizabeth Hauver, married George Harman.
(5.) Magdelena Hauver.
(6.) Susan Hauver.
(7.) Caroline Hauver, married Joseph Adam Brown. they removed to Arkansas. and Mary Ann Hauver.

George Hauver's will in W8 GME 2 Filio 399, drawn June 26, 1837, proved October 20, 1837.

Speaks of real estate, tracts which included the tavern. Although he was called George Hauver Sr. his father's name was also George Hauver. The will of George Hauver (Sr.)

He gives 1/3 of his estate directly to his wife, Elizabeth. The rest is divided as follows. The rest is divided as follows: Mary Ann Hauver- equal share; Catherine & David Wolfe (Jr)- equal share; Elizabith & George Harmon; George Hauver- equal share; Magdelena Hauver one dollar; Caroline Hauver- equal share when she reaches 18 if she is obedient, other wise will get one dollar. He also gives his wife Elizabeth his bed and bedding, table, a corner cupboard and its contents & cow.
