Dorothy Alvena (Hauss) Clark, 87, of Shively passed from this life on Monday June 30, 2014 at Norton Hospital Hospice Inpatient Unit with Linda and Scott by her side. Born on October 11, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky.

She retired from the accounting department at Louisville Gas & Electric where she worked for 20 years, she also worked in her father's store, Hauss's Market in the west end, and was a member of First Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Algeon L. Clark. A loving mother and grandmother, she leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Linda Jo Farmer; a grandson, Matthew Scott Farmer; a sister, Mildred Anglin; a brother Henry Hauss, Jr.; and friends Terry Darnell and Bill Warren.

A service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at noon on Thursday with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
