|Death: ||May, 1948|
Born Luna Hatch, she married Fred Grant and later had a daughter, Ida Jane Grant, on August 14, 1909. After living in Randolph, VT for many years, Luna became a widow as Fred was a suicide in 1935. She was the eldest of eight children and worked until the day she died in May, 1948. Luna always said, "I want to go quickly and with my boots on"! She got both of her wishes. She had just walked into the kitchen of Grey Stone, where she worked as a companion and housekeeper to Jeannette B. Clark. They chatted very briefly and Luna collapsed ... still wearing her rain boots!
Daughter Ida passed away in Orlando, Florida at age 92. Ida's daughter had predeceased her the year before. Ida's son lives now in N.Y.C. where he has operated his small company, an agency representing actors and writers, for over four decades.
