Completed her earthly mission at age 98 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Born in Moroni, Utah. Daughter of James Andreas and Maren Hansine Peterson Christensen. Married Orlan Earl Hatch September 7, 1929. Marriage solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Orlan died April 27, 1980.

An extra ordinary seamstress. Everyone in the family benefited from her talent. Kindness and fun personality drew people to her. Never tired from making new friends. People found her determination and capacity to endure and overcome many trails truly inspiring. Proved more than once doctors' predictions wrong by walking again after a serious illness.

Survived by four children: Roy Angell (Bonnie) Hatch; Ora (Clyde) Crane, Gayle (Joseph) Luciano and Mary Kaye (Stanley) Smith; 15 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 13 great, great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband; a great grand daughter; three brothers and two sisters.

Family recognizes the special care provided by Mary Kaye, Elsa's youngest daughter, for her constant devotion to her mother's care, especially in the last six months, makes her a hero in their eyes.
