Ogden / St. George – Marcheta Hatch Crabb Dial, age 87, passed away quietly in her sleep on Saturday, October 29, 2011. She was born on June 29, 1924 to Louis and Emily Christensen Hatch.

Marcheta married Charles Dean Crabb on May 6, 1943. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple on January 30, 1948. They spend 43 wonderful years together, until his passing in 1986. She later remarried to Francis Dial on June 26, 1990, in St. George, Utah.

She spent her early life in Koosharem, and Antimony. Later she moved to Ogden where she lived for many years. In 1984 she moved to St. George where she lived until her death.

Marcheta was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served faithfully in many different callings.

She worked in the school lunch system, spending many years working at the Ogden School for the Blind. She also spent some time working at the Defense Depot of Ogden.

Marcheta was a wonderful seamstress. She made many beautiful quilts. She was also an excellent cook. She used her many talents to continually serve those around her.

She is survived by her husband Francis Dial, of St. George; her four sons: Glenden and Patti Crabb of Camino, California; Lanny and Amy Crabb of Farr West; Ritchie and Lynn Crabb of Ogden; and Nolan and Valerie Crabb of Columbus, Ohio; 15 Grandchildren; 32 Great-Grandchildren; and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dean; her parents; and her 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 11:00am in the Koosharem Ward Chapel, at the corner of Center and Main Street in Koosharem, Utah. Friends may call for viewing Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 No. 400 West in Richfield, Utah, or in Koosharem from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to services.

Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, and Salina
