RUTH WOODLAND

PRESTON — Ruth Blanche Hatch Woodland, 101, died Friday in Preston.

She was born Aug. 3, 1883, in Franklin to Lorenzo Lafayette and Annie Scarborough Hatch.

She married Daniel Peter Woodland June 24, 1909, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Feb. 12, 1954.

She lived in Brigham City, Utah; Malad, and in Logan, Utah since 1932. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Young Womens' organization, Relief Society, Primary, and was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and Booklore Club.

Survivors include a son and three daughters: David Hatch Woodland, Concord, Calif.; Mrs. L. L. (Hazel) Davis, San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Walter A. (Laura) Harris, Norwalk, Calif., and Mrs. John (Unita) Welch, LaCanada, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children, Daniel Platt Woodland, Iza Woodland and Mrs. Joseph (Eloise) Cowley.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Hall Mortuary chapel, 34 E. Center, Logan, Utah. Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
