HIGH POINT - Mrs. Frances Hassell Davis, 89, of the Wesleyan Arms, Inc., formerly of Elm Towers died Aug. 20, 1999, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery by the Rev. Don Lloyd.
She was born Dec. 2, 1909 in Guilford County, the daughter of Edward E. and Bertha Lena White Hassell. She had been a resident of Guilford County all her life and had retired from Indian Head Hosiery in 1972 after seventeen years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over fifty years, a member of the A.M. Idol Sunday school class and a member of the Congeniality Club.
Surviving are a son, Robert "Joe" Davis and his wife, Gloria Andrews Davis of Jamestown; a sister, Miss Ida Hassell of High Point; a brother, John Hassell of Iva, S.C.; two grandchildren, Kimberly Davis of Huntsville, Ala. and Joseph Davis of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two great-grandchildren, Jeremy Davis and Dakota Davis, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
