Darrell F. "Dutch" Hasler, 83, of Olney, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Ed Davis officiating. Burial with full military rites performed by Richland County Veterans Organization was in Sumner City Cemetery in Sumner.
Mr. Hasler was born on January 7, 1922, in Clinton, the son of Shurl and Clara (Fletcher) Hasler. He married Freda Corrie on April 22, 1943, in St. Louis, Mo. She survives.
He was a retired employee of Prairie Farms Dairy in Olney, where he was employed from 1952 to 1984. He also worked at Olney Wal-Mart from 1985 to 1994. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Olney.
Mr. Hasler is survived by his wife of 62 years, Freda Hasler, of Olney; two granddaughters, Teri Talach and Jamie Rivera; six grandsons, Joshua Middleton, Tyler Middleton, Tristan Rivera, Jerod Rivera, Toby Rivera and Noah Rivera; an aunt, Louvre Hasler; a son-in-law, Richard Tabor; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Stephen Hasler; a daughter, Nancy Ellen Tabor; two brothers, C. Keith Hasler and Henr Elwin Hasler; and an infant brother, Shurl Hasler.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
