Ella Mae Delp, 83 – Gainesville Mrs. Delp died June 5, 2011 at her daughter's home after a lengthy illness.

She was born on January 20, 1928 in Nottinghill , MO, the daughter of Walter C. and Socia Irene (Gaulding) Haskins.

She became a Christian at age 12 and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Isabella and served as the church secretary for many years.

She married Edwin "Sonny" Delp in Mountain Home, Arkansas on December 24th, 1949. She and Sonny operated a grocery and feed store in Thornfield, MO. In 1959, they moved their business to Gainesville and with Sonny's brothers, operated Delp Brothers Grocery and Feed Mill for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Charles Haskins, her sisters Polly Willbanks and Vada Dauchy.

She is survived by her brother Ron Haskins and wife Judy of Gainesville, her son, Eddie Delp and wife Shareen of Gainesville, and her daughter Janice Hogan and husband Jeff of Gainesville. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Veronica Preston and husband David of Portland, OR; grandsons Ryan Hogan and wife Rachel of Gainesville; Kyle Hogan and wife Sarah, and Tyler Hogan, step grandchildren Matthew Skyles of Ozark, Amanda Boden and husband Steve of Springfield, and Joseph Skyles and wife Angel of Springfield, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in the Thornfield Cemetery with Dale Roberts officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9-11 am in the Thornfield Chapel.
