Mary Blue Adkins, age 73, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at her home in Osceola. Mary was born August 4, 1943 in Morristown, Tennessee to the late Clarkston Clay and Robbie May (Southerland) Hartsell. On April 2, 1960, she married Bobby Adkins in Morristown, Tennessee. They celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Bobby survives, along with their son Gene “Ed” (Susan) Adkins of Mishawaka. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Bobbi Jennings, Austin Adkins, Angie Adkins, Cali Stoops, Sarah Benedict, Jessica Bolinger, Alex Adkins, and Isabel Adkins. Surviving as well are four great grandchildren; Jaiden, Destinee, Madi, Audrey, and her brothers, Charlie (Marie) Hartsell and Joe Hartsell. Preceding her in death were her daughters Sandra Adkins and Robbie Adkins, and her siblings Betty, Barbara, Annabelle, Willie Ruth, C.L. and Clay.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Monday, November 7, 2016 at Zimmerman Inman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. Reverend Craig Duke of the Osceola United Methodist Church will officiate, and interment will follow in Olive Cemetery.

Mary was a member of the Classic Chevy Club for 30 years, enjoyed playing bingo, and doing crafts as well. She loved to spend time with her family and adored cooking for the holidays.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center for Hospice.
