"Atkins -- In this city Ellen Amelia Atkins, beloved wife of A. Atkins, mother of Mrs. M.P. Danly, and sister of Ed M. Hart of Hornellsville, N.Y., Helen and Callie Hart and Mrs. G. Sherman of Canisteo, N.Y., a native of New York and aged 49 years 2 months and 6 days."

A member of K. and L. of H., Pacific Lodge No. 815. [K. and L. of H. = The Knights and Ladies of Honor originated as a splinter group of the Knights of Honor, a fraternal secret society founded in 1873.]
