CARLSBAD - Joyce E. Gause, 68, of Solana Road, died June 30, 1995, at home. Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Tom McClain officiating.

Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 21, 1927, in West Virginia, to Vernon H. and Mildred Cooper McCutcheon. She grew up in Clifftop, W. Va. She moved to Carlsbad in 1958. She married Joel M. Gause May 10, 1973, in Carlsbad. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. Harrison, who died in the Vietnam War. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Grover McCutcheon and a sister, Rose Harrison.

She is survived by her husband, of Carlsbad; sons, Patrick M. Harrison Jr., of Highlands, Texas, Terry W. Harrison, of Abilene and Henry E. Gause and Timothy K. Gause, both of Boulder City, Nev.; daughter, Nancy L. Rottger of Colorado Springs, Colo, and Diana K. Hastings, of Houston and eight grandchildren.
