Bessie Harrison was the daughter of Simon and Hannah [Rosenthald] Harrison, both of whom were born in Russia (now Lithuania) and immigrated to the United States. Bessie was born July 1889 in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York. The family later settled in Chicago, Illinois.
Bessie's siblings were Harrietta, Louis, Libbie, Saul, Sadie, Sidney and Birdie Harrison, along with adopted son Sol Thompson.
On October 20, 1912, Bessie married Arthur Harold Davidson, the son of Abraham Davidson and Gertrude [Ruben] Harrison. Abraham and Gertrude had also immigrated to the United States from Russia.
Bessie and Arthur had two children, Merian Eunice and Theodore B. Davidson.
Bessie's date of death is not known at this time, but it could have been as early as 1942. Arthur then died November 9, 1977 in Chicago. Bessie and Arthur are laid to rest beside each other at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, Illinois.
