Ella Fay Asay, 85, died Tuesday, February 9, 1982 in the North Big Horn Hospital where she had been admitted that morning. She was born March 13, 1896 in Glendale, Utah, the daughter of M.D. and Electa Belinda Harris. She married Orson Vern Asay October 8, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They ranched for many years near Meeteetse, Wyoming before coming to Lovell to make their home.

Survivors include six sons, Harris Orson Asay of Lovell, Chester H. Asay of Orem, Utah, David H. Asay of Worland, Wyoming, Al H. Asay of Salt Lake City, Utah, Wayne H. Asay of Evanston, Wyoming and Kay H. Asay of Logan, Utah, three daughters, Ida Horton of Provo, Utah, Viola Davis of Lovell, Wyoming, and Verna Fay Cahill of Evansville, Indiana, two brothers Layton Harris of Salt Lake City, Utah and Eldon Harris of St. George, Utah, Sisters, Amelia Robertson of Lovell and Vilate Olson and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lovell, Wyoming Stake Chapel with Bishop William Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell is in charge of arrangements.
