A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland for Thelma Harris Champagne Bourgeois, 84, a native of Austricka and resident of Raceland, who died at 4:45 a.m. today, Nov. 21.Visitation will be 7 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and 7:30 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at the church.Burial will be in the church cemetery.She was the mother of Edward Champagne of Houma, Edna Cavalier and Linda Leonard, both of Raceland, and Lois Guidry of Lockport; stepmother of Bertha Guillot of Marrero. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tilden P. Champagne; second husband, Stanley Bourgeois; parents, Walter and Gertrude Arnold Harris; a brother, Ernest Harris; two sisters, Gladys Serpas and Lilly Harris; and three great-grandchildren.She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Raceland and a parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Church.Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
