Mrs. Ruby Lela Avant, 81, of Fort Worth, passed away Friday. Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Timberline Baptist Church with the Rev. James Dunn officiating. Interment was at Moore Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Avant is survived by her sons, Audrey Corder, Watauga, and Eugene Corder, Houston; daughters, Mrs. Earlene Tong and Mrs. Ona Mae Walker, Arlington; brothers, Earl Harris, Frank Harris, Hubert Harris, Homer Harris, and Bonner Harris; sisters, Miss Florence Harris, Mrs. Ida Muckleroy, and Mrs. Iva Urquhart; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
