Linda Sue Cornett, 65, was united with her Heavenly Father, Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, while at home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Creekwood Church, 260 N. Miller Road, Mansfield. Interment will follow in Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington. Linda was born Feb. 24, 1948, to John and Johnnie Ruth Harris. She grew up in Arlington and in 1974, she moved to Baytown with her family. In 1982, Linda moved back to this area and had resided in Alvarado for the past 12 years. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, country music and dancing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and attended as many of their sporting events as she could. She worked as a hairstylist over 45 years and was most recently employed with Klemmy's Salon on West Park Row in Arlington. Linda will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Hoodenpyle of Alvarado. Survivors: Sons, John David Cornett and his wife, Pam, of Mansfield, Jason Duane Cornett and his wife, Sandra, of Alvarado; daughter, Andrea K. Cornett of Alvarado; sister, Shirley Adams of Arlington; stepdaughter, Corinthia Runge; grandchildren, Delaney and Nathan Cornett, Chloe Worley, Jade Anderson, Jordan Mallard and Carson Runge.
