Wilma Garland Harris Back, 94, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home. Interment: Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Blessing. Wilma was born Dec. 23, 1918, to Harvey and Rosie Viola Harris. She graduated from Keller High School. Wilma married JC Back of Mansfield in 1943 and they were married for 59 years. JC was a farmer, so Wilma became a farmer's wife! She raised two wonderful sons, Jake and Harvey. After the children were raised she worked as a sales clerk at Stripling's Department Store. Following that, she went to work as a teacher's aide and bus driver for the Lillian school. It was there that she met and learned to love some of her dearest friends of all times. She loved to be with her family and friends. Many fun trips were made to Lake Texoma, Lamesa, and Red River, N.M. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a constant joy to her. One of her favorite pastimes was to watch her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren play sports. Her 94th birthday was spent on a hayride with family. It was there that she gave her famous "Tarzan Yell!" Wilma was a dedicated Christian and wanted everyone she met to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. She never missed an opportunity to tell someone how much Jesus meant to her. She was a member of First Baptist Church Mansfield for 61 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, JC; parents, Harvey and Rosie Viola Harris; sisters, Dee Dee Gandy and Thelma Carmichael; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frances and Harry D. Nifong. Survivors: Sons, Jake Back and wife, Judy, of Granbury, Harvey Back of Mansfield; grandchildren, Daryl Back and wife, Autumn, of Stephenville, Nicole Naquin of Lake Jackson, Jason Back and wife, Lindsay, of Springtown, Seth Back of Lake Jackson, Jessica Watson and husband, Michael, of Mansfield, Caleb Back of Granbury, Bryan Back of Mansfield; and great-grandchildren, Colton Back, Garrett Naquin, Remington Back, Sarah Back, Colton Naquin, Jacob Back, Austin Watson and Chance Watson.
