Wanda Bell Harris Dickens, 86, Fairview, MO, died April 15, 2014, at the home of her sister, Willadean, where she had made her home the last two years. Wanda was born November 2, 1927 in Fairview, the daughter of Amza Clovis and Lovena O'dell (Bradley) Harris. She was a lifelong area resident and attended and graduated from Fairview School and was a member of the Eastern Star for many years. Wanda was a determined and strong woman, who independently raised chickens for Hudson and Simmons for 30 years and then raised dogs with her brother in law, Virgil Flaxbeard in Rocky Comfort for 13 years. Wanda was always willing to give all she could to her family and friends. She was a strong Christian and attended the Living Word Mission in Simco. Wanda married Kenneth Dickens on August 31, 1946 in Columbus, KS and he preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Willadean Allen; brothers, Harold Harris and Ray Harris; three nephews, Larry Harris, Terry Harris and Scott Harris; five nieces, Brenda Granger, Linda Love, Karen Brown, Terrill Murphy and Kitty Harris and numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her younger brother, Clovis Harris and great nephew, Kit Spencer.
