Graveside services for Dolly Darsey of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Heltman officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Visitation is from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Darsey was born in Wisner, La., the daughter of William Monroe and Lydia Ann Newman Harrigill. She was a homemaker and a member of Parkway Baptist Church. Mrs. Darsey was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Bertran Darsey of Natchez; a daughter, Dolly Ann McCowan and her husband Fred D. of San Marcus, Texas; one sister, Juliet Campbell of Houston; and a nephew and his wife, P.D. and Jean Campbell III of Pearland, Texas. The family request memorials be made to the charity of choice.
