Crockett, 87, of Alexandria died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, in her residence. She was a native of Colfax. She was a member and deaconess of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She was past assistant super-intendent of Sunday school and a member of the choir and mission.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Crockett Sr.; son, Wesley Crockett Jr.

Survivors are sons, D.C. Johnson of Littleton, Colo., and Edwin Crockett of Los Angeles; daughters, Walter Mae Crockett of Los Angeles and Ruby Wright of Alexandria; brother, Richard R. Harper of San Jose, Calif.; sister, Olivia Longs of New Orleans; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
