Elverna C. Dohrman, 96, of Concordia, formerly of Waverly, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waverly, with Rev. Brett Mueller officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or The Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born July 11, 1912, in Concordia, she was the daughter of the late John Harms and Margaret Reith Harms. On Sept. 28, 1935, in Concordia, she married Howard Dohrman, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1975. She had lived in Lafayette County her entire life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid and also a member of Hazel Hill Community Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Lois Schmidt and Mary Salyer, both of Waverly; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter; five sisters; and three brothers.
