Funeral services for Sophie Behrens 117 N. Rose St., Palatine, were held Aug. 6 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palatine, with Rev. Sauers officiating. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery.
A member of the Ladies Aid, Mrs. Behrens was born in Palatine township March 5, 1878 and died Aug. 3 at the Plum Grove Nursing Home at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and a son, Edward.
She leaves three daughters: Mrs. Louis Blank of Aurora; Mrs. Roy Foremann and Mrs. Henry Schwantz, both of Palatine. For the past two years she has made her home with Mrs. Schwantz. Four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also remain.
