Betty A. Beeler, 82, died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at an Omaha Hospital of a ruptured aortic aneurysm. She was born July 9, 1928, at Ozawkie, KS., the oldest child of Roy and Olive Turpin Harding, Sr. Living in Grantville many years, she was a member of the Grantville United Methodist Church and held many offices in the United Methodist Women. She helped with church dinners and many other groups, co-starting an embroidery group this year. Betty loved God, life, family and friends, flowers, various needle crafts, traveling and helping others. Betty was married to Robert Bob Beeler on June 11, 1948. He preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Kenneth Beeler, Topeka, one daughter Tamarra (Bill) Engler, Omaha, NE, two grandchildren, Monte (Felecia) Engler, South Australia, Jodi (Rocky) Minino, Omaha, two great-granddaughters, Sierra Engler, South Australia, and Sophia Minino, Omaha. Two sisters, Jean (Keith) Smith, Las Vegas, NV., Anita (Fred) Pickens, Buffalo, MO., sisters-in-law, Donna Harding and Elizabeth Trimble, both of Topeka, two special daughters, Janice (John) Larrison, Grantville, and Lori (Dave) Keating, Perry, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Harding, Jr.
Memorial Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at the Grantville United Methodist Church. A Visitation and Gathering will be from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, prior to services at the Church. Cremation is planned, and Inurnment will be at Grantville Cemetery.
