Church, officiated. Mr. Hansborough had been in fail- ing health for some time and suf- fered a stroke Tuesday from which

he failed to recover.

A native of Carrollton, Miss., Mr. Hansborough became affiliated with the Poitevent-Favre Lumber Com- pany at Perkinston, Miss., in 1884, where he remained until 1895. He then came to St. Tammany parish as superintendent of logging opera- tions for that company. With the exception of a short interval, when Mr. Hansbrough was with the Sal- men Brick and Lumber Company, Slidell, he remained with the Poite- vent-Favre Lumber Company, hav- ing been in their employ more than 35 years. He was still representing the company's holdings in this par-

ish at the time of his death. After the acquisition of the East Louisiana railroad by the New Or- leans and Great Northern railroad from the Poitevent-Favre interests, Mr. Hansbrough, bought for the New Orleans and Great Northern rail- road right of ways from Slidell to
