A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of the late Edward Robert and Bernice O'Brien Hannon.
She is survived by her husband, George Ball of Gastonia; sons, Bill Ball and wife Mary Jean of Rougemont, Jeffrey Ball and wife Mia of Richardson, Texas; four grandchildren, Michelle Ball, William Ball, Emily Ball and Charlotte Ball.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia with Rev. Judith Cole officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of Crowders Mountain Inc., P.O. Box 1881, Gastonia, N.C. 28053 or a charity of the donor's choice
