She was a lifelong resident of Frostproof, a paraprofessional at Ben Hill Griffin Elementary School and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Frostproof.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Hanks. Survivors include her husband, Kenny Dale; daughter, Leslie Brewer (Chris) of Frostproof; mother, Ruby Hanks of Frostproof; sister, Linda Spurgeon (Roy) of Frostproof; grandchildren, Joshua and Callie; niece, Jennifer Plair (Yancy); great-nieces, Anna and Gracie.
The funeral service was at First Presbyterian Church in Frostproof with Dr. William "Buzzy" Elder.
