Adaline "Addie" Handler died peacefully on March 21, 2015 at her home in Woodland Hills.

Addie was born December 6, 1930 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Albert Klein and Sarah Cohen. Addie was the youngest of three children along with two brothers, Gene and Herman.

Addie spent the majority of her time as a housewife while also volunteering at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Addie enjoyed the outdoors with her gardening at home and loved to shop. Addie graduated from West High School in Denver and attended Oklahoma University.

Addie met the love of her life, Sidney Handler, in Denver, and in 1950 they moved to Los Angeles, where they were married on December 3, 1950. Sidney, along with his two brothers, was part of the founding family of Mattel Toys.

Addie is survived by her beloved son, Gary (Cathleen) Handler; three grandchildren, Alyson, Rusty, and Sami; great-grandchild, Olivia; and a number of other relatives and close friends.

Funeral services for family members and friends of Addie will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Hillside Memorial Park, 6001 West Centinela Avenue, Culver City.
