Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Tony Hancock; parents, Burton and Gertie Jackson; siblings: Leona Lankford (Grant), Robert "Gene" Jackson (Betty), David Jackson and several other family members.
She is survived by loving children: Darrell Hancock (Margaret), Susan Crass (Eric); grandchildren: Tim Hancock (Jennifer), Ashley King (Todd); great grandchildren: Olivia, Lincoln, Ridleigh Hancock; sister, Connie Beja; sisters-in-law: Patricia Jackson, Barbara Jackson; Aunt Oga Williams and many other family members along with special friend, Sue Gardner.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 7, 2023, between the hours of 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Meridian Baptist Church, 6513 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville. Family and friends will meet Friday, September 8, 2023, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN for a 10:00 AM Graveside Service with Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating.
