DRESDEN - Phyllis Marie Darden, 59, homemaker, died Tuesday at Volunteer General Hospital in Martin after a stroke. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home with burial in Unity Cemetery near here. She was a member of Siloam General Baptist Church. Mrs. Darden, the wife of Charles Gilbert Darden, also leaves three sons, Charlie Gilbert Darden Jr., Brian Morgan Darden and Warren Hudson Darden, all of Dresden; her father, Phillip Hammond of Grand Rapids, Mich.; her stepfather, Morgan Clark of McKenzie; a sister, Karen Ann Bodell of Michigan; a brother, Vernon Hammond of Dresden, and six grandchildren.
