E. Luetta "Lou" Hammer, 80, of Annawan, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at the Hammond-Henry Hospital Long Term Care Unit. Lou was born on April 23, 1932, in DuQuoin, the daughter of Joseph Hezekiah and Elsie L. (Robertson) Yearian. Lou was a cook at the former Atkinson Plaza Restaurant and as well at Geneseo Good Samaritan for several years. She also did bookkeeping and tax preparation for clients out of her home. Lou was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo and a former member of the Women of the Moose, the Hammond-Henry Hospital Auxiliary and the Annawan Food Pantry. She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her family.
