Mrs. J. Swan Bigham Died at Age Sixty-five – Citizen of County over Sixty Years
Mrs. J. Swan Bigham [Louisa Elizabeth Hamilton] died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Yancy T. Yarbrough, in Belton last night at 8 o’clock. She was about 65 years old and had resided in Bell County since 1854 or 1855. The family was one of the pioneer families of Bell County.
The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Matt Keys, of Mr. Jack Hamilton, and of Mrs J. A. Vaness. A son and daughter, Mr. Newt Bigham and Mrs. Yarbrough, survive her.
The body will be interred at the North Belton Cemetery this afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 4 o’clock.
