WELL KNOWN WOMAN DIES AT INDIANAPOLIS
Mrs. Margaret Blair Expires at Home of Her Daughter - Body Brought Here Today
Mrs. Margaret Blair, 78, whose home is at 511 West Main street, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maud Smith, in Indianapolis, where she had gone ten days ago to spend the winter. The news of her death was a great surprise to her friends here, although they had known she was in feeble health.
The deceased was a daughter of of Nelson and Maggie Taylor Hamilton, early residents of Decatur county residing near Shiloh church five miles northwest of Greensburg, where she was born Jan. 22, 1852. She was married to William Blair about 60 years ago. He died here twelve years ago.
The daughter and a grandson, William Elliott, of Indianapolis, are all of the immediate family left. There are four brothers; John and William Hamilton, of Macedonia, Iowa; Joseph, of Chicago, and David, of Indianapolis, and two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Clayton, of Indianola, Iowa, and Mrs. Laura Pulse, of Bell City, Mo.
The deceased was a member of the Methodist church and of the Eastern Star and had many friends here where her entire life was spent.
The body was brought here to the Howe mortuary today and will be taken to the home where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. O. Tevis Martin officiating. Burial in South Park.
