Betty was a graduate of Formosa High School and was class valedictorian. She was a tennis player in high school. She and her sister Joyce sang as an opening act for Monty Montana.
Betty attended Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina. She worked for 20 years for the Kansas State Department of Revenue as a driver’s license examiner in Dodge City and Salina. She had also been employed at Long’s Clothing and Key Rexall in Salina.
She was a member of the Mankato, Kansas Eastern Star and a member of Hoyt United Methodist Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hamilton; by three brothers, Don, Jack and Bob and her sister, Wilma Joyce Bradrick.
Survivors included sons, Jim and Brad Hamilton; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
