Banks resident
Van Hamaker, 63 of Banks, died on Dec 30 at the local hospital. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Banks Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bernice Adams Hamaker of Banks; a son, Lester Hamaker of Little rock; three daughters, Mrs. Vada Batie of Little Rock, Mrs. Betty Smith of Fort Leonard Wood, MO., and Mrs. Perry Lou AcAfee of Tulsa; three brothers, Ira Hamaker of Warren and Roy and Coy Hamaker of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Avis Kitchell of St Louis, and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral was Friday afternoon at the Hickory Springs Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church by Rev. Carl F. Wheeler and Rev. Olen Greenwood. Burial was in the Hickory Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were O. B. and Thurman Williams, Otha Grice, Travis Loomis, Noble Scroggins, and Prather Hines
