SPENCER — Alberta L. Wall, 78, of Spencer, passed away Friday, August 29, 2008, at The Residence at McCormick's Creek. She was born in Spencer on December 8, 1929, to Tommy and Gertrude (Graham) Haltom. She was a 1947 Spencer High School graduate. Mrs. Wall attended the Bethel Baptist Church and was a member of the Owen County Republican Party. She worked at the Owen County Clerk's office and Title IV Division of the Prosecutor's office before retiring in the 1990s.
She is survived by two sons, John "Bill" (Nancy) Wall, Jr. of Shelbyville, and Don (Jeanine) Wall of Carmel; a daughter, Debbie (Marvin) Campbell of Spencer; a sister, Betty Sims of Spencer; and three grandchildren, Donnie Wall, Emily Campbell and Matthew Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John William Wall, Sr., in 2000.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Revs. Maurice Wright and Edwin Mohr will officiate. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery.
