Daughter of John Hallenbeck and Susan Mary (Bronk) Hallenbeck Ismond. Carrie was the sister of Franklin, Emma, Ida Hallenbeck and Addie Hallenbeck Cripps.

Wife of Herbert W. Alfenburg (son of George Alfenburgh & Annie Vaughn). After Carrie's death, her body was transported by train to Athens, NY for burial. Herbert later remarried a women named Mildred and resided in Rhode Island.

Husband, Herbert Wardle Alfenburg was born 10/28/1878 and died 2/13/1960. At the time of his wife's death, he was a retired chief engineer of the old Fall River Line.

Mrs. Alfenburg Funeral - Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Alfenburg, wife of Herbert W. Alfenburg of 69 1/2 Third St. were held at the Hambly Funeral Home this afternoon. The Rev. Hansel H. Towner, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Athens, NY.
