Grace Elyse Hall Allen, 85, of Moultrie died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Riverside Holiness Church with the Rev. Mark Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Tempee Cemetery in Worth County. Grandsons of Mrs. Allen will serve as casketbearers.

Born Dec. 8, 1920, in Worth County, Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late Joseph Ashton Hall and the late Rosetta Howell Hall. She was a retired seamstress from Riverside Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Riverside Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron N. Allen; two infant daughters, Violet Allen and Marilyn Allen; two brothers, Arnold Hall and Hubert Hall; and a sister, Miriam Cardwell.

Survivors include five sons, Kenneth R. Allen and wife Susan of Ocilla and Theron L. "Doc" Allen and wife Donna, Marlin J. Allen and wife Gerry, Rodney G. Allen and wife Charlene and Lynwood Allen and friend Hope, all of Moultrie; two daughters, Voleta A. Yarbrough and husband Billy and Sandra K. Brock and husband Verlyn, all of Moultrie; a brother, Denvelle Hall and wife Christine of Moultrie; five sisters, Voncile Taylor, Vernelle Bates and husband Kenneth and Elizabeth Tillery, all of Moultrie, Othelle Thompson of Grand Ridge, Fla. and Laverne Johnson and husband Eugene of Sylvester; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Riverside Holiness Church, 2505 West Blvd. in Moultrie.

Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home of Thomasville and Baker Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
