Bruce Alfred Hall, 45, Bly, died Aug. 28, 2003, in Bly. Cause of death was not given.

He was born in Klamath Falls to James Frederick and Jeanne Francis (Pope) Hall.

He was a graduate of Bonanza High School.

He worked for Weyerhaeuser Co. before working as a firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service for the past 20 years.

He married his wife Mary Jo on Oct. 14, 1995.

Among his interests were hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Mr. Hall had a special talent for touching other people as Smokey the Bear, as a clown or assuming a casual attitude on a street corner.

Survivors include his wife Mary Jo Hall of Bly; mother and stepfather Jeanne and Earl Jackson of Klamath Falls; daughters Jennifer Jeanne Hall of Klamath Falls, Lissamarie Elizabeth Hall of Seattle, Sandi Jo Ford of Chico, Calif., and Summer Pool of Lakeview; sons, Sierra Stave Sasselli and his wife Staci of Chico,; grandchildren Olivia Pizano of Klamath Falls, Samantha Savanna and Dylin Pool of Lakeview; and Nicholas Canay and Sienna and Mason Sasseli of Chico; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca and Brian Fritzgerald of Stockton, Calif., Lynda and Terry Cromer of Vancouver, Wash., and Pam and Terry Cardwell of Rigby, Idaho; brother Fred Hall of Ashland; special aunt Sis Rentle of Bly; and numerous nieces, nephews, and frineds.

He was preceded in death by his father James Hall and a brother, John Hall.
