Mrs. Grace Davenport Dead.
Mrs. Grace Hall Davenport, wife of George Davenport, of Wichita, died in a local hospital yesterday evening. The cause of her death was stomach trouble and she had been in Arkansas City receiving medical treatment for the past ten weeks. Mrs. Davenport was aged 33 years, 2 months and 20 days. She was a former Arkansas City girl and for several years previous to her marriage, was employed in the local telephone exchange. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.S. Hall of East Kansas avenue. Mrs. Davenport was well and favorably known here and the many friends of Mr. Davenport and Mr. and Mrs. Hall will sympathize with them in their bereavement. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the S.B. Hall residence. Rev. Hestwood conducted the services. Interment took place in Mercer cemetery.
