Marcella "Sally" Cooley of Valparaiso, Indiana, died July 21, 2013 at the age of 81, after a courageous battle with cancer. Sally is survived by her loving husband of over 62 years Robert. They were married in Portsmouth, Virginia on October 21, 1950. Sally was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on March 12, 1932. She graduated from Teftt High School in 1950. Sally worked at Valpo University bookstore and at Tittles Grocery in Valparaiso, Indiana. Sally was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Valparaiso and St. Josephs of Lakeland, Florida. Sally was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Flanagan, father Russell Hall, and step-father Wyvil Flanagan. Sally is lovingly remembered by her son Gregory (Theresa) Cooley of Wanatah, Indiana, daughter Pamela (Michael) Thomas of Valparaiso, Indiana and daughter Kay Lynn Cooley of Fishers, Indiana; granddaughters Jill Cooley, Jennifer Cooley, Megan (Chad) Schultz, Brittany Cooley, Natalie Thomas, Jana Cooley and great grandson Mason Lucas Schultz; as well as many loving family and friends. Sally and Bob spent many happy years after retirement at their winter residence at Lake Point Village in Mulberry, Florida where they developed lasting friendships with many good friends. Sally truly enjoyed her grandchildren, entertaining friends and family, playing cards, dancing and traveling. She took up golf late in life and was so very proud of her first "Eagle" at age 71.
