Norma Jo Hale died March 2, 2017 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years 5 months 3 days. Norma was born September 30, 1940 in Tribbey, Oklahoma to Clyde and Rachel (Henry) Hale.

As a child, Norma’s father was a migratory harvester and the family moved around the country for work. In 1957 they moved back to Oklahoma from California and made their home in Macomb. Norma graduated from Macomb high school in 1960. They moved to Lexington in 1966, when Norma started her career in the Counch cafeteria on the OU Campus. She moved to Norman in 1986, and retired from her career in 1996. After retirement, Norma enjoyed reading, gardening with her Mom, quilting, sewing and shopping. She loved her dogs, especially her little Libby.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Rachel Hale; brother, Charles Hale and his wife, Brenda; nieces, Chrisit Hale and Ginnie Lynne; great nephew, Dakota Forbes.

Survivors include her brother, Marvin Hale; niece, Bobbie McGee and husband, Billy; nephews, Claude Hale and wife, Jamie, Chris Hale and wife, Nancy, Stacy Hale and wife, Jaclyn; numerous great nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Gravesite services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Wanette Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
