Former Area Resident Dies
Mrs. Neva height Christner, 93, a former Carnegie resident, died last Thursday at Stuart, Fla., where she had made her home the past four years. She was the mother of the late John Christner, formerly of Carnegie and Mountain View.
Burial will be at the Carnegie cemetery.
She was born in 1877 at Rockford, Ill., and moved to Crete, Neb. as a girl and where she was graduated from Doane college. She moved to Shawnee in 1901 when that area was a part of the old Indian Territory. She lived in Oklahoma City before coming to Carnegie.
Mrs. Christner was the widow of Frederick W. Christner who died in 1950 at age 82. They were the parents of three children Mildred, who died in 1957; John F. who died in 1968; and Margaret.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret, widow of the late Lyle C. Wilson, newspaper columnist; a granddaughter, Colleen Christner, bot of Stuart; another granddaughter, two grandsons, and two great-grandchildren.
